Keeping it clear and simple.

I recently visited Grand Designs Live at the NEC, Birmingham and was struck by the contrasting size and scale of the exhibition stands on display.   What surprised me most however, was that I found the simpler, small scale designs had the greatest impact.

I particularly liked the above display by The Workshop Below, which cleverly showcased their products, but at the same time made a statement about where they were produced.

In a similar way to The Workshop Below, Liberty department store in London, has used it’s products to direct people to the relevant sections.

A personal favourite was the use of string and sewing patterns to direct shoppers to the haberdashery department.
