I have over 15 years experience working in events and marketing. Whilst still at University I was involved in the organisation of a range of charity events for the Students’ Union. Following this I worked for an environmental regeneration charity developing community capacity building projects, including bid submissions, implementation and evaluation reports. Projects included creating skate parks, children’s playgrounds, community gardens and working with local primary schools to plant over 15,000 spring bulbs.
For the last 12 years I have worked in Higher Education on a range of student recruitment initiatives. This has included the planning, organisation and delivery of large-scale recruitment events, for 1500+ visitors. Designing associated event literature, delegate liaison, managing event staff and post-event evaluations. This work has also required the ability to problem solve, manages crises and develop solutions quickly.
In addition to this I have managed a portfolio of key accounts and developed presentations, workshops and training activities to support and develop learning and understanding of Higher Education in the UK.
I am now looking to utilise these skills in a more design focussed capacity, to engage people with the environments and objects around them, both for marketing and educational purposes.
